Swimming

Today Laurie and I took the kids over to Heathers to swim. The water felt great and the kids had a blast. Brady also had a check up with Dr. Carlton and she said the staples look great and she is going to take them out on monday. Heath is off friday for his birthday and we have a birthday party in Charleston friday night so we are going down friday morning and spending the night. When you stay home you really look forward to three day weekends. This makes two in a row so I don't know what I will do when Heath has to work a full week next week, lol!

Memorial Day & Brady staples in head

Well, Heath survived the weekend with the kids. Brooke stayed the night with my mom friday night & Brady was suppose to but wanted to come home at 11pm so my dad brought him home to Heath. They went to see Shrek 3 & to swim at Henrys house with a couple of the guys whos wives were with me in Charleston. They had such a busy day Heath said they were both asleep by 8:30 saturday night. I am so proud of him for doing so good with them all weekend. He did leave Brooke in the movies alone while he took Brady to the bathroom but that is the only concern I had. He did tell her to tell the people beside her if someone tried to mess with her??

We had a good time in Charleston just shopping, eating and laying on the beach. I forgot how nice it is to get away but I was also ready to get home to my family by saturday night.

Memorial day..... We went to Heaths grandmothers for lunch and the kids had a good time playing in the pool and on the slide with cousins. Then we left there and went to my sisters for dinner. Well, while the guys were grilling Brady found a yoga ball in the garage and brought it in the house was playing with it in the kitchen and fell back on the side of the wall and split his head open. I freaked out because blood was going everywhere. I don't handle situations the way I should in front of the kids so ofcourse poor Brooke was upset because she saw me upset and Brady screaming. My dad looked at it and said we needed to go to emergency room because he could tell it was going to need stitches or staples. Heath & I loaded him up called the dr. on call Dr. Riley and she said since it was almost 6pm to take him to e.r. because she had no staff and couldn't do it. Well, after sitting in the waiting room for 4 hours we finally got to the room and the dr. said he was going to need 3 staples and to hold him down because he was going to scream and try to get up. Well, I was so proud of him he did not even cry. I was in the hall crying before they even started and I walked back in the room and he just had this sad look on his face but he said I got 2 stickers and that was all he said. He was such a big guy. Like my dad said this is probley his first of many things to come being a typical boy but it was still pretty scary to us. He goes back in ten days to get the staples out. Hope everyone has a great week.

Skating & Awanas

Well, this past weekend was pretty crazy. It was our groups turn to host the Jewels meeting at church saturday. We had a great time and made it a tribute to moms. Laura came up from Charleston and a bunch of us from church went skating. That was the first time I had skated in probley 15 years or more. Brady had the skates on for about five minutes and said he was done skating. It was great that Brooke got to spend time with Natalie. Tonight we had the awana awards ceremony. This was Brookes second year in cubbies so next year she will be in sparks. She finished both her books and learned thirty bible verses this year. We had 14 Cubbies this year. We don't usually have the opportunity to lead them to Christ because they're just beginning to understand what it all means but we were able to plant seeds this year! Its such an awesome thing to think you played a small part in where someone spends eternity and such a responsibility for those of us who are parents. This weekend we are having a girls weekend. Heather, Laurie, Wendy, Ana and I are going to stay with Laura in Charleston. I have never spent the night away from the kids except when I had surgery last year. That is going to be hard but I am looking forward to spending the day on the beach and outlet shopping. We are leaving friday afternoon and coming home late saturday night. Say a prayer for Heath!! lol!

Mothers Day

Hope everyone had a great mothers day. The kids and Heath got me a pair of running shoes and a new comforter set for our bed and while I was taking a shower last night they put it on the bed and were so excited about suprising me with it. Today we went out to eat at San Jose with my family. Yesterday we had Ashlyns 2nd birthday party at the childrens garden and awana game day at church. We survived the first week with out school, thank goodness!

Last day of school, Heart & Sole Walk, Birthday Party & Facials

Well, sadly enough friday was Brookes last day of 4 year old kindergarten. We were told to put them in jeans or jean shorts because they had a shirt for them to wear. I figured they made something with paint but when we got to the class all the kids had a tshirt with their class picture on it. They sang some songs and showed us what all they learned this year. Then they played a dvd with pictures from the school year that had most of us moms in tears. I am so thankful to Mrs. Rollings & Mrs. Proctor for everything they have done this year. Brooke was so shy a year ago and now besides the smart mouth (don't know where she got it, lol!) she is so much more talkative. We had our families over for pizza friday night to celebrate her last day.
Saturday morning eleven of us from church walked in the womans Heart & Sole race. My friend & hair dresser Lisa & I ran a little over a mile of it and our time was 1 hour 13 minutes which is kind of bad considering all the people who beat us but now we are going to try to train for a 5K run which should be interesting since 2 days later I still can't hardly walk. After that I met up with Heath & the kids at a birthday party for Brently who turned two. Right after the party I had to get home because Julies friend Candy came up from Charleston to give us facials because she is doing Mary Kay now and had to do ten facials in ten days. I think Brooke enjoyed it the most. Heath, Chad and Brady went to play golf while we did that. I will attach pictures this afternoon when I find my camera and can upload them. Have a great week! This is our first one without that three hours of school this afternoon so pray it goes smoothly.
