Field Day, Disney on Ice, Birthday Party

Friday was field day at school for Brooke. They did like five different activities and had sno cones afterwards. Brooke was the anchor for tug of war ( stop laughing dad! ) and the girls beat the boys. Ofcourse my camera wasn't charged so I only got two picture of field day. Brooke had her own cheering section with both my parents, my nephew, my sister, Heath, Brady & I there.
Friday night we took the kids to Disney on Ice. We had the box seats for this as well thanks to blue cross. Brady enjoyed it more then I thought he would. Everytime Mickey came out he would scream theres me and when Minnie came out he would scream theres Brooke. They were Mickey & Minnie for halloween last year and so on the ride home he said why me not dress up? Brooke had a great time as well but complained because I refused to buy her the sno cone in the princess cup for ten dollars to go with her seven dollar popcorn. I said you already had a free sno cone at school today be happy for that suprisingly she got over it and on the way home said boy we sure had a busy fun day today. Saturday Leslie brought the kids over to bring Brooke her birthday present from february, lol! I know you are reading this Leslie. The kids had fun playing outside. This afternoon we had Allyson Powers two year old birthday party at bounce around.
Then we went to dinner with Marc, Sheri & the kids. We tried to take the kids to the sparkleberry fair but they were closing it down when we got there so we went to Red Robin & back to their house and let them jump on the trampoline. It was a busy weekend but we had a good time. When you don't work you really look forward to the weekends you can spend as a family plus the extra help with the kids is nice, lol!

Field Trip to Zoo

Yesterday Brookes Pre-K class had a field trip to the zoo. Well, Brady and I went as chaperones.

My mom was suppose to go with us and help with Brady but had to go Texas. Well, I decided not to take his stroller well that was a big mistake. I thought he would want to walk around with all the big kids but after carrying him around for over two hours I was really wishing I had brought it. We had a picnic at the zoo as well. Next week is Brookes last day of school. I can not believe how fast this year has gone by and how much she has grown up this year. She is still pretty shy but nothing like she was a year ago. Today my mom comes home from Texas ( thank goodness!! ) Those of you who don't live close to your parents I don't know how you do it, lol!!! Brady is going to Charlotte with my dad to pick her up from the airport and its during the same time Brooke is at school. I will have almost three hours to myself. Sadly I have been looking forward to this for days. If that sounds mean to you then you obviously don't have small children. Its good to have a break from time to time. I am going to shop in peace without a buggy & 5 bathroom breaks. I have attached zoo trip pictures. Brooke is the one in the middle sitting down with her class and in the other pictures she is sitting on the front of the elephant and Brady is standing by his trunk. Friday she has field day and we are going to Disney on Ice. I will try to post those this weekend.

Concert & Flowers

Well, I am doing this blog as a way to keep up with everything I need to scrapbook. I am hoping to stick with this since I am over two years behind in scrapbooking. Also, because my dad saved this to his favorites so he can share with his family so I don't want to let him down. I did that enough as a teenager, lol. Friday night Heath & I went to the Kenny Chesney concert which was awesome. We bought our tickets the day they went on sale because we didn't think we would be able to get box seats thru blue cross because we were told there was a long waiting list. Well, friday at 11 am the lady from blue cross emailed Heath & told him there were two seats left in the blue cross suite. Well, after asking people at work he was able to sale our tickets and we were able to get in the suite (sorry Julie) ha! My mom is in Texas this week so my dad kept the kids friday night & they were still awake at midnight when we went to pick them up. My dad said they had a good time but that to make sure Brady had an enema and was on a liquid diet all day because he didn't want to change a poop diaper. Well, I wasn't doing that so I worked really hard this week to get him potty trained & it worked. He didn't have an accident at all this weekend. This has been so much easier then it was with Brooke. He still is wearing pullups at night & to church but with in a few weeks I hope to be done with diapers. This is a huge expensive for those of you who don't have children, plus when your a one income family its really nice to save that money, ha. On saturday we went to Lowes & let the kids pick out flowers to plant. We spent the afternoon working in the yard & planting those. Brooke was really into it but Brady didn't want anything to do with it. He just swam while we worked. I was not into either but tried to pretend like I was enjoying pulling weeds just because Heath didn't think I had it in me. I like to have a nice yard but I do NOT like doing yard work. I would have rather been in the baby pool with Brady.
